All the participants will be picked up from the airport in Cluj Napoca by the tour guide and will travel to the first climbing destination, Cetatea Lita. It is an 800 years old fort, with ruins and landscapes that provide the best spot for the start of a climbing adventure in the Transylvanian mountains. We will afterwards travel to Sibiu, the heart of Transylvania where you will be welcomed with a warm dinner, a reward well deserved after a good day of climbing.
On the second day, after a proper breakfast, we will wonder in the Carpathian forest towards Cisnadioara Valley for our 2nd climbing spot. Here the less experienced climbers will have the chance to improve their technique on the real rock while enjoying the breath-taking view of the forest lying beneath their feet. We will enjoy a cosy BBQ next to the climbing spot and for dinner we will head to a traditional restaurant with strong Saxon influences. If you are not too tired, we will have a pub crawl, that will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the city and the taste of local beverages.
The third day we will head back towards Cluj-Napoca, more precisely to the Turda Canyon, a natural beauty that provides the perfect environment for our last day of rock climbing. Here we will be able to experience routes with a huge diversity of height, terrain and difficulty, while enjoying the mesmerizing view from the depth of the canyon. The day will end with a dinner in Cluj and a good night sleep (or a late night party for who is up to it) in regards to the early flight the next day.
* The overall routes in this tour vary from 5a to 7b so there is room for beginners as well as more experienced climbers to test the Transylvanian rocks. All routes have top anchors and are well bolted along the way. But there is also room for some tread climbing if you are up for it.
